Here is where teachers, students, and other people who are interested in the more scientific aspects of insects can find helpful information. Whereas the "For Fun" sections display information in a humorous fashion, information from this page is more detailed and formal. I also hope to put together and post a presentation of some sort which teachers could use in their science classes if they wish to teach about insects. If you are looking for detail on insects, especially Groton local ones, you have come to the right page! If you are looking for more fun, simple facts, you should visit the "For Fun" section at the left.
You can click the following links to go to the corresponding sites. Although I have not covered all the orders of arthropods, I have included all the major ones that are found in the Groton area. I will soon be posting pictures and descriptions of arthropods in each corresponding page. At first, I will only have the ones that I have caught on the Groton campus; later, I will add some from Massachusetts that are more common.

Hymenoptera-Bees and Ants
